Hi Guys!!
How are we?
This week off is going far too quickly, it is already Thursday! How did that happen?
Today I purchased a new foundation so I thought I would do a post on my make up routine.
Now like most redheads not only do I have incredibly pale skin it is also hyper sensitive, so finding make up that doesn't dry my skin out/make me break out/give me a red rash is difficult.
I have tried many brands & I must say other than the odd item here and there I always come back to Boots 17 brand for foundation, which is not at all bad because it is super cheap.
Today I got the 17 Blemish BB Balm with SPF 25 which is always needed for my skin.
Apparently it evens skin tone, covers imperfections, controls oil & improves skin with in 4 weeks.
Lately I have found my skin to be quite oily, this is something I have never suffered with before & I have had to try a few different face washes to help fight spots but at the same time not drying my skin out. To be honest I am still looking at the moment but Simple daily face wash is helping.
Before I go to bed every night I remove my make up using if L'Oreal age perfect cleanser & toner. I find it so much better for my skin than other brands & I only happened to stumble upon it when I ran out of my usual stuff so borrowed it from my mum. Thanks Mum!!!!
I always try to remove my make up before sleeping, I hate the feeling of waking up with mascara on. I feel like my eyes are stuck together. Sometimes if I am feeling super lazy I'll use a couple of baby wipes, which I find sensitive enough for my face & apply a generous amount of Aveeno cream.
I get up super early on week days, we are talking 5.30am so dark circles are the first thing to go. I use my fingers to apply the BB Balm all over my face & neck. Next I add a little creamy concealer on the dark circles & around my nose as I have a little redness there, I then seal it with a light dusting of powder.
Next it's the blonde eyebrows that need fixing. I am lucky in one respect as I don't have to worry about constantly plucking them but then I do have to pencil them in, which my sister thinks it is funny as I have such a heavy
fringe but I guess its habit, also if it's windy I'd look odd. I did try dying them my skin is too sensitive & it burnt like crazy.
I then add a little natural eye shadow & my black eyeliner, I try to not have it to thick but sometimes I happens then I have to channel the 60's style for the day.
Lastly I add lashings of mascara to my blonde eyelashes, a little cream blusher to my cheeks, lip balm to my lips & Fin, I am good to go.
I try to make sure it looks as natural as possible, Mr Berto says I don't really look very different when I am wearing make up, but honestly without make up I think I look a little tired.
Anyway that's my daily routine, if you have any questions about the products I use let me know :)
Ciao for now
Love Katrina xx
