Spring Sewing Meet up

Hi Guys,
How are we?
I am fighting a summer cold, they are just the best aren't they.!!

Anyway I have really been getting back my sewing flare and I have a few projects on the go following the awesome Sewing meet up (organized by the lovely Rachel) I went to a few weekends ago.  Nothing gets the creative juices following like being surrounded by other sewers. Especially when there is like 50 of them!!!

I was going to make something especially for the meet up, but decided to wear my vontrap dress :) as it is one of my favorite things I have made so far.  I met Emmie at South Kensington station and we wondered down to the V&A meet up point which I have never been to before and I must take a trip there soon.  Who's in??!!!

There we were greeted by Rachel and I got to meet many other ladies, we all then wondered down to Goldhawk Road which is a dress makers fabric mecca! I mean I have lived in West London all my life and I have NEVR been there before. What is up with that?

Emily, Carly & I (on the right) wondered round the numerous fabric shops trying to restrain ourselves, there was seriously so much choice. My obsession of the day was the coat made & worn by Kim (on the left i) I gushed over it all day and then went home & brought the pattern.  I am sure I freaked her out just a tad!!! So for good stalking type measure I borrowed (stole) this picture of it from her blog! Sorry Kim I just love it!!!

I was really good & only purchased 3 bits of material for specific projects... well up until I found an amazing squirrel/rabbit/acorn navy fabric for £3 a meter and I just had to have it.

Sorry for the crappy picture

It's ok I have found the perfect pattern for it and I can't wait to share all my completed projects with you guys.

Well I hope you guys are having a great day.
I'll be back soon!!

Pub date: Princess of Wales

Hi Guys,
Sorry I have been a bit MIA, to be completely honest I have been a little down & I didn't want to project it on my blog. So I took a bit of a break.
I work full time and commute 4 hours a day and I think sometimes life just gets to you.

Anyway I recently visited this cute little pub in Primrose Hill, London with a friend and I really wanted to share it with you because it was so cute.

We stopped for a bite to eat and I must say my flatbread was AMAZING!!!
and just look at my friends burger! I mean the gherkin alone was worth thee calories :)

My favourite thing about the pub is they allow you to take your puppies in with you :) Look at this Pug & Beagle mix. She was so cute, I would have totally stolen her if I could have.

Anyway if you're in Primrose Hill, I would recommend you pop in for a drink & some yummy food and take your doggie with ya.

Have a great week.

Lets make up :)

Hi Guys!!
How are we?
This week off is going far too quickly, it is already Thursday! How did that happen?

Today I purchased a new foundation so I thought I would do a post on my make up routine.
Now like most redheads not only do I have incredibly pale skin it is also hyper sensitive, so finding make up that doesn't dry my skin out/make me break out/give me a red rash is difficult.

I have tried many brands & I must say other than the odd item here and there I always come back to Boots 17 brand for foundation, which is not at all bad because it is super cheap.

Today I got the 17 Blemish BB Balm with SPF 25 which is always needed for my skin.
Apparently it evens skin tone, covers imperfections, controls oil & improves skin with in 4 weeks.

Lately I have found my skin to be quite oily, this is something I have never suffered with before & I have had to try a few different face washes to help fight spots but at the same time not drying my skin out. To be honest I am still looking at the moment but Simple daily face wash is helping.

Before I go to bed every night I remove my make up using if L'Oreal age perfect cleanser & toner. I find it so much better for my skin than other brands & I only happened to stumble upon it when I ran out of my usual stuff so borrowed it from my mum. Thanks Mum!!!!

I always try to remove my make up before sleeping, I hate the feeling of waking up with mascara on. I feel like my eyes are stuck together. Sometimes if I am feeling super lazy I'll use a couple of baby wipes, which I find sensitive enough for my face & apply a generous amount of Aveeno cream.

I get up super early on week days, we are talking 5.30am so dark circles are the first thing to go. I use my fingers to apply the BB Balm all over my face & neck. Next I add a little creamy concealer on the dark circles & around my nose as I have a little redness there,  I then seal it with a light dusting of powder.

Next it's the blonde eyebrows that need fixing. I am lucky in one respect as I don't have to worry about constantly plucking them but then I do have to pencil them in, which my sister thinks it is funny as I have such a heavy fringe but I guess its habit, also if it's windy I'd look odd. I did try dying them  my skin is too sensitive & it burnt like crazy.

I then add a little natural eye shadow & my black eyeliner, I try to not have it to thick but sometimes I happens then I have to channel the 60's style for the day.

Lastly I add lashings of mascara to my blonde eyelashes, a little cream blusher to my cheeks, lip balm to my lips & Fin, I am good to go.

I try to make sure it looks as natural as possible, Mr Berto says I don't really look very different when I am wearing make up, but honestly without make up I think I look a little tired.
Anyway that's my daily routine, if you have any questions about the products I use let me know :)
