Unionsoul - Blogger Competition
Hi Guys :)
So Unionsoul are having a competition to win a piece from the beautiful collect.
All you have to do is pick three favorite items from their collection to create a wishlist and blog about it :)
Ok so as you may be aware I get married in just over six weeks. Crazy close right!!!!
So I was looking at the items with that in mind and as my wedding style is bohemian vintage I think these piece fit well :)
I am an avid wearer of wrist bands and although I wont wear all my usual ones on the day I do want to wear some so this charm bracelet was my first choice. I love the colors, the layers of plated leather and the charms hanging off of it. Without giving to much away my wedding is very colorful and this just so happens to blend well :)
The Next item I chose is this amazing stone arrow necklace is just beaqutiful again, it would tie in so well with my colour theme and I love the idea of wearing a long necklace on the day. I think it would be such a difference to what is normally worn by brides.
Lastly but by no means least (I would like every item please, thanks) these friendship bracelets. I have 5 bridesmaids, one flower girl and a page boy...I know, I know it's a lot but I didn't want to leave any sisters out (I have 3), then my best friend and lastly my nieces & nephew.
These bracelets would be such a lovely gift to give the older 5 bridesmaids especially as their dresses are all different colors. Ok better stop there, I don't want to give all secrets away. You'll have to watch out for my post-wedding post :)
So they are my three favorites, why don't you pop along and choose yours?
Ciao for now

Bloggers Picnic Outfit
Hi Lovelies,
How's you week been?
I wore my purple maxi skirt from New Look then added a long sleeve cream top & a see through lace top too.
I also added my all time favioutre trainers...if you can call them that?
My purple converse :)
I added a long necklace that was a glass stone wrapped in wire to complete the look, I thought it was quite cool.
Amy from Vintage Reflection was lovely enough to take my pictures for me, I am a silly blogger I actually forgot my camera. She always takes lovely pictures, mmmmm......maybe I should forget my camera more often.
How's you week been?
Did you see the cool guest post Sarah a writer for ASOS did? I thought it was very inspirational :)
My week seemed to whiz by for me & so has today come to think of it.
It was only last Saturday I attended the bloggers picnic with Amy & Anna, I met some lovely bloggers although believe it or not I felt a little shy and didn't do an much networking as I normally do.
Anywho, I have been feeling the Bohemian vibe the last week, it is a style I float in & out of due to my love of long floaty skirts.

Amy & I met on twitter & have fast become good friends, I love it that we have so much in common and it feels like we have always been friends.
Well that's it from me, enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Vintage Styles and Accessories Inspiration
Vintage has so much to offer, that I sometimes get lost in
all the eras and just want to mix and match everything at once. To give myself
some structure, and to share some vintage inspiration with you all, I’ve put
together this style and accessory guide based on the items I adore from ASOS
Marketplace. So, be aware that there will be some era matching, i.e. 40s dress
with 20s jewellery. Take a look and let me know what you think in the comments
section. :)
Here’s a 40s black polka dot dress with caped sleeves and concealed pockets from designers Emily and Fin. I love the caped sleeves and the high neck, as it makes this dress suitable for many different events, including a formal affair such as a wedding, or a casual day out with friends.
As accessories to go with this dress, I’ve chosen a chunky art deco inspired bracelet by La moda boutique to add a bit of glam to the look. To keep it looking stylish and in sync (I love themes to looks and things being in sync), I’ve added a silver metallic handbag with a print bow, inspired from the 1990s by boutique LIAR. In this outfit 40s meets 20s meets 90s, and all co-exist in trendy harmony.
This look relies heavily on patterns from the 60s. The tunic is a 60s inspired mod tunic with an abstract Indian style pattern. The navy blue against the white of the vibrant pattern really makes this piece stand out. As it is Indian inspired I selected other Indian inspired items to accompany it. The bag is a handmade cloth handbag with gold-thread embroidery by Bargainmerchant. It’s a unique piece, but I couldn’t resist the charming pattern. The headpiece is a 70s inspired heart 3-piece headpiece, which adds some elegance, mystique and Indian princess style to the whole look in a subtle and modest way. For the last look I wanted to look at some 80s dresses, as I’m an 80s girl, but I just couldn’t find anything inspirational, so I went for the next best thing, a 90s look.
The dress is a Grunge bandage velvet dress in burgundy by Evieknight, and I chose it, because nearly every woman on TV was wearing one of these at some point during the 90s. The black tassel fringe faux suede cross messenger bag is from Trendypanda, and also very 90s, as tassels were all the rage, while the feather necklace by Black Tied is again 90s inspired, as peace signs and peace symbols such as feathers were highly popular accessories. This look would work well in the Autumn when going out on the town. So, here are three vintage inspired looks. The first two are mixes of different vintage eras, while the last stays true to just one era. What do you think of the combinations? Hope you got inspired.

Inherited Grace Vintage - Press Launch
Hi Lovelies,
I was invited to the press launch for Inherited Grace Vintage last Thursday, unfortunately weekly evening events can be tricky due to my 5am wake up time so it was a quick visit but it was definitely worth popping in.
I met the Lovely Nat & Han, two very stylish business partners that jointly share a passion for high quality vintage clothing.
Check out Nat's amazing shoes & Han's awesome rings, I believed Han said that she got them individually in the Topshop sale.
The launch was held at the Chelsea Wine Company, in their lovely little basement.
From what the lovely ladies have told me they have a large collection so they picked out their favorite pieces & wow they brought some lovely items.
The items were hung beautifully in color sequence, it appeared as though I was in a high end boutique.
I would definitely recommend popping along to their blog to see what amzing things they are up to next.
I'd like to wish Nat & Han the best of luck with Inherited Grave Vintage & thank you so much for having me.

Dyeing for a Cuppa :)
Hi Guys,
See what I did there with the title? hehehe :)
To give it ago yourself you need the following for the dyeing process:
I also decided to add a new lot of buttons I got from Cath Kidston & Ta da!!! I was done.
I am quite please how it all turned out & I am sure it will star in a What I Wore post in the very near future.
Have you ever dyed fabric with tea bags?? I would love to see how yours came out.
Have a great week.
Ciao for now.

See what I did there with the title? hehehe :)
I wanted to update up my aging mustard cardigan & when I came across these dollies in my local charity shop I knew exactly how I would do it. The only problem I had was that they were too white.
Now I am a big tea lover as you may have realized :) so
tried my hand at dyeing fabric using tea bags, PG Tips to be exact.
To give it ago yourself you need the following for the dyeing process:
- Boiling water
- 2 bowls
- 2 mugs
- 2 PG Tips Tea bags
- Splash of milk
- Marbles or fabric weights
Now to start put the tea bags in the mugs with the hot water & give them a stir then remove the tea bags. Add a splash of milk to each & then give one cup to your mum/dad/sister/brother or other half then put the other to one side to drink as you work.
Well now you didn't think I would waste a perfectly good opportunity for cuppa did you :)
Ok back to the dyeing.
Now take the rest of the boiling water & add the tea bags to the two bowls, then let them simer for a bit. Once the water is ready submerge the dollies in the water & add the weights or marbles and leave them to one side for about 10 minutes then remove them and wash them with a little detergent.
SIDE NOTE: I left mine a little too long & they were too dark, if you find yours are a little dark add a little stain remover to the water you wash them in & they should come up a little brighter :)
Once they were dry I placed them on the cardi & decided where I wanted them. When I was happy I pined them in place & the attached them leaving the edges free.
I also decided to add a new lot of buttons I got from Cath Kidston & Ta da!!! I was done.
I am quite please how it all turned out & I am sure it will star in a What I Wore post in the very near future.

So the count down begins :)
Hi Lovlies,
Guess what!!! Today it is offically 2 months until I walk down the aisle!!!
I am so excited but very nervous too!
I have my dress, shoes & my head piece thingy... not sure what to call it? Hair clip?
My venue is booked, as is the registrar & the photographer.
There are still some finer details to be organized, but it is getting there.
Although we have been engaged for two years it feels strange that it has come around so quick.
I will be looking for some guest bloggers in the run up & after the wedding, if your interested please email me at muffintopvintage@hotmail.co.uk.
I would love to hear what you feel makes a wedding special :)
